I’m wondering what everyone’s impressions of the day(s) was/were. Did we get a sense that technology is truly integral and a non-negotiable in terms of leveraging innovation? Scott McLeod drove that home to me.

Impressions from the day. I did not hear any discussion of what learning experiences look like or what frameworks are going to be used to guide the use of existing technologies and the creation of new ones.   Completely agree with you Gerry. We’ve been doing 1:1 for 6 years now and while we have seen instruction change over time, some design parameters would have definitely gotten us farther faster. But, as you say, they don’t seem to exist. Could a site like this house some benchmark video instruction that begins to address the paradigm we hope…[Read more]

    Yep, that kind of sharing resource is exactly why we are building this network. Those kinds of questions exist in all the content areas that our labs are working on and we all need sharing spaces for teachers and leaders to collaborate. There will be some kind of network, we are working with KDE right now do determine the best host for that.…[Read more]

    I think throwing up some use vignettes and videos would be a great way to focus conversation Matthew. My teaching experience was in a 1:1 school in the late 90′s.
