Kentucky iTunesU

Directing Lab: Technology Leadership Lab

Investigators: Justin Bathon, Marty Park, KDE

Description: In cooperation with the Kentucky Department of Education and Kentucky Educational Television, the P20 Lab is working on the development and deployment of a Kentucky iTunesU page for K12 learning. This development will be extendable such that other organizations around Kentucky may also post original content to the site. An example of how iTunesU operates is at the already functional College of Education iTunesU site (clicking will launch iTunes).

Our Latest Project:  Woodford County High School and Kentucky iTunes U    Kentucky’s teachers, students, parents and communities now have access to free, state-specific academic content available through “Kentucky on iTunes U.” The new learning platform, which is the result of a collaboration between the Kentucky Department of Education, the University of Kentucky College of Education, and Kentucky Educational Television (KET), was officially announced and launched at Woodford County High School in Versailles, Ky., on Aug. 24, 2011.
