KYP20 Innovation Labs
This course, hosted by Linda France ,Eve Proffitt and John Nash, is designed to provide service learning opportunities for UK undergraduates.
The course teaches students the tenets of design thinking, which when applied to a service context, allows studetns to define and solve challenging problems facing schools on key issues.
The skills students learn are generalizable to problem solving in any discipline wihtin the university, thus students in any major will reap great benefits from this course.
Principles and methods of systematic site-based problem identification, diagnosis, and solution for the improvement of practice in school settings.
Prerequitites(s): Program status or consent of instructor.
Course Concept: This comparative education course reflects an exploration of how the Western university has been and is situated in a global context. From medieval Bologna to current EU reforms called the Bologna Process this course provides an excellent background to any area of research and practice in higher education.
